Loftus Road is based on suburban West London, inspired by Kensington Olympia, set in the time period 1995-present. Being on the West London Line, the layout sees a wide range of passing trains, from local & Cross-Country passenger traffic through to London Underground District Line services and Channel Tunnel freight.

The layout is DCC controlled and features scratchbuilt automated signalling. Several rolling stock features are also scratchbuilt including the Class 377 ‘Electrostar’ EMUs. Loftus Road was recently extended, with new scenic areas including a busy London High Street, a scratchbuilt petrol station, a model of ‘Earls Court’ and a depiction of a London Crossrail excavation.

Loftus Road measures 20ft x 10ft overall, and is being made available for sale in fully working condition, minus any rolling stock. The sale will include the fiddle yard, overhead lighting gantry, Lenz DCC power equipment and controllers - everything you need to get it going. The layout is available on a sold-as-seen basis.

Worthing MRC will be more than happy to talk to serious buyers and give a full running demonstration, together with instructions on setup and running. The layout collapses down into separate boards with protective wooden covers for transport, and a bespoke racking system for the fiddle yard, which will be included with the layout sale.

Layout buyers would need to arrange their own transport at own cost, and please note that Loftus Road is currently situated on the first floor of a building with no lift access. A large van (Mercedes Sprinter or Ford Transit etc) is normally used to move the layout and its equipment around.

Pricing a layout is always challenging, the layout has been valued around £6k-£7k due to the size and build quality of the fully-working layout, however, we are open to all serious offers and willing to negotiate with the right buyer. Please get in touch if you would like to find out more.
